What's the difference between Care Managed and Self Managed?

Care Managed

Get matched with Helpers

We’ll take care of the admin stuff for your care, like scheduling. We’ll get to know you inside and out to find the perfect Caregivers who are a great match. We don’t just check their qualifications, we look for people who are really passionate about providing compassionate care and building a genuine connection.

Work with a Care Manager

Care Managed Members get a personal touch with a dedicated Care Manager. They’ll work closely with you to manage things like budgets, outside services, and any changes in your care needs. Your Care Manager only looks after a certain number of Members in your area, so you can be sure you’ll get plenty of attention and support.

Higher fees

Because our Care Managed memberships offer a more personalised approach with lots of extra attention and support, the cost is a bit higher. This extra fee covers the extra time, effort, and know-how we put into making sure our members get the best possible care

Self Managed

Find your own team

With Abilities Amplified, you’re in the driver’s seat. Just tell us what kind of support you need, and we’ll whip up a shortlist of Helpers who are perfect for you within 24 hours. Check out their profiles, send them a message, and have a chat to organise and book in your visits.

Manage your own care

As a Self Managed Member, you’ve got the freedom to choose how you want to run your own care. We’ll still keep an eye on things and our nursing team will be there to help with reviews. But we’ll be more like a coach, giving you advice and support whenever you need it.

Lower fees

Self Managed Memberships are cheaper because you take on more responsibility for your own care. Since we don’t have to do as much, the cost is lower.
